Westminster Alumni Magazine
From 2019 to 2022, I had the opportunity to design the cover and interior layouts of 8 issues of the Westminster Alumni Magazine. Each issue tackled a different theme and idea embraced by the forward-thinking and student-centric school. Every issue was a unique opportunity to put big, lofty ideals and concepts into a single striking and beautiful cover design.
Unselected concepts
Each issue began with a discussion with the Westminster team about themes and ideas that the cover needed to express. From that initial discovery session, I would explore multiple visual directions, playing with color, composition, typography and photography to create a suite of initial cover designs. Those initial designs helped facilitate discussion about the visual language for the issue. The design often evolved greatly between the initial concept and the final published design.
Book Covers
I have always been and avid reader, and despite what that old adage says about not choosing books by their covers, I find myself inevitably drawn to well designed books. The book covers below were created out of love and inspiration, a creative exercise and outlet.
